My Story

For most of my life I have been intrigued by a couple of things: how things work, interconnection, & the sheer elegant beauty of plants and nature.  When I was a teenager I remember finding a book of my mothers called "The Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs".  And from then on my interest took root.  My path has always been unexpected, non-linear, and unconventional, and my studies have always paralleled that path. I have lead a life deepening my understanding about organic farming, nutrition, slow food cooking, holistic health, meditation, and herbalism.

About 16 years ago I made a commitment to myself to bring a spiritual practice into my daily life.  This not only embodied taking care of myself through better diet and lifestyle choices but also, and even more so, this commitment was about taking better care of my spirit and emotional wellbeing.

in 2013 my grandmother June passed away. She had a gentle soul and was a strong, practical, understated woman who lead a very modest life.  Somehow, in her life of simplicity, she managed to save some money to give to each of her three grandchildren.  A gesture that was very heart-opening and unexpected to all of us.  I decided to start June Wellness with her gift.

Not far after, I found out that coming from a long line of Swiss ancestry, my grandmothers' great grandmother was an herbalist in a small village in the Swiss Alps.  When I heard this I almost cried. We are all interconnected and to feel connected to a line of women and ancient past down tradition feels so special and true.

With my grandmothers in my heart I offer an approach to help heal and support you in the daily difficulties of life.

The Story of JUNE

June started out in 2015 as a handmade herbal skincare line. The lines purpose was to bring ritual and a loving daily practice into ones life and to help people slow down.

Since those first years, JUNE went through a couple of iterations including, ceremonies, nature walks, health coaching, herbal consultations, meditation. And each iteration brought me closer to what I was truly wanting to offer: An intimate relationship and experience to ourselves and our lives that we don’t often get to have.

From the beginning of the pandemic, it has been clear to me how important it is for people to have emotional support. We have all undergone so much change and trauma, isolation and loss. We are living in a world where people are grieving, they are stuck and overwhelmed, often living with depression and anxiety. There are very few outlets to work with the emotional state that most of us are encountering. Our current time has made it all the more clear to me how important it is to offer support for people that are struggling. Mindfulness meditation, has been a practice of mine since I began my spiritual journey 17 years ago. I have weaved it into just about everything I’ve taught and offered since the beginning. It is a way to cope, slow down, enhance connection, and brings that intimacy to our life that we hardly know. Mindfulness is a very deep and powerful tool that everyone can learn and practice.

I’m not a guru, wise, or even a teacher. These are practices that my teachers have taught me and thier teachers have taught them…I am offering them because I have personally experienced their power. These practices have helped me through very dark times and have helped me notice the beauty in this life no matter where I am. They have at times been my only support. These are practices that anyone can learn and bring into their life as a support and to find freedom from the pain and weight that we are each bearing. These practices are for everyone.
